The sequel to the historical fantasy hybrid, Nioh 2, is scheduled to hit this March. It is a more action oriented RPG than typical with a unique style switching system. The game previously had a beta that developer Team Ninja took the time to do some adjustments based on feedback. We’ve not heard a lot about the game since then, but seems the marketing for it is about to ramp up according to the game’s Director.

Via the game’s official Japanese Twitter, Producer and Director Fumihiko Yasuda says that from now until the game’s release in two months we can expect some type of news every week. How significant that news will be is anyone’s guess, but we’ll apparently get at least something about the game until it’s on store shelves.

Nioh 2 will release on March 12th exclusively on PlayStation 4 with no other platforms announced as of yet. For a look at how the game blends history and myth, take a look at some historical themed screenshots from the game.
