One of the most promising upcoming PS4 exclusive is Tecmo Koei’s Nioh, the upcoming Dark Souls-esque action game that is set in Japan, following the odyssey of William, the ninja of a western origin. And now, in a new trailer for the game, Tecmo Koei shared a brand new animated cutscene showing some of the narrative conceit of the game.
The trailer is titled ‘The Legend of Nioh,’ and has a Part 1 appended to the end, which seems to suggest that there will be more like it in the future. It’s also in Japanese, but honestly, is visually striking enough that it shouldn’t be hard to follow.
Nioh is due to launch on February 7 in North America, February 8 in Europe, and February 9 in Japan. The game, which will be exclusive to PS4, will be published by Sony in the west, and by Tecmo themselves in Japan. You can check out the new story trailer for the game for yourself below.
