Wings, wings and more wings – that was sort of the theme for Koei Tecmo’s Nioh, which received a pretty cool new gameplay trailer at PlayStation Experience. The Dark Souls-esque experience is from the team behind Ninja Gaiden, namely Team Ninja, and we get a look at the variety of demons you’ll encounter throughout.

Combat is the main focus but Nioh’s unique mythical bent should help distinguish it from Dark Souls enough. Thus far, the visuals are definitely good and it should make for a sumptuous experience when it finally releases.

Nioh has already seen several free alphas and demos for PS4 that allow players to unlock future content. It will be out on February 7th 2017 for PS4 exclusively. What are your thoughts on the trailer?

Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information in the coming hours from PlayStation Experience. It’s going to be a long day.
