No booth for THQ at E3, but there will be a presence

THQ is going through tough financial times but it has been confirmed that there won’t be a booth for the publisher at E3, and they have also mentioned why that is the case.

It’s expensive, and as I mentioned their financial situation is not pretty, it’s only logical that they wouldn’t spend exorbitantly at E3. It is rumoured that a large E3 booth will cost as much as $1 million.

“We’re not producing a booth, but we will be participating in E3. We will be showing games to the E3 judges at their event coming up, and we’ll be hosting a press and business center at the show for meetings (as well as participating with first party activities),” THQ told GamesIndustry.

“When we needed to make the decision on the booth (many months ago) we were in a MUCH different place than today.”

These are the games THQ is developing.

  • Metro: Last Light
  • Darksiders II
  • inSANE
  • Devil’s Third
  • Homefront 2
  • Company of Heroes 2
  • WWE ’13
