No Man's Sky Aquarius

The latest free update for No Man’s Sky is live, but it’s not Worlds Part 2 (check out Part 1 here). Instead, Aquarius adds a surprising new feature: Fishing. Check out the release trailer below.

Fishing is as straightforward as it sounds. Find a relaxing spot, either solo or with friends, whip out a fishing rod, and catch a range of aquatic creatures. However, traveling and interplanetary exploration, alongside some special bait, is necessary for catching the rarest fish.

There’s also an Exo-Skiff, which you can deploy as a platform to fish on the water, complete with storage. You can also set up automated fish traps to fish for you. Players will also find new recipes to take advantage of caught fish.

A new Expedition is also live, providing an underwater jetpack, exclusive fishing equipment, and a poster collection as rewards. Stay tuned for more details on subsequent updates in the coming months. No Man’s Sky is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
