No Man's Sky

Hello Games noted recently that No Man’s Sky had gone gold and despite leaked copies already appearing hither and yonder, it did also mention that work had been happening with the game’s first update.

Over on Twitter, co-founder and creator Sean Murray tweeted a picture of the development team and noted, “5am at Hello Games. Wrapping up a month of work on our first update. Lots of new features, balancing and content.”

It’s not yet known whether this will be the day one update for No Man’s Sky or it will come shortly after launch. There’s at least some sense in it being the former.

No Man’s Sky is slated to release on August 9th for PS4 and August 12th for PC. Several players who already got their hands on the game have noted its length and breadth but there’s been some issue about how long it takes to actually reach the centre of the universe (which is the end goal). We’ll have to find out for ourselves when No Man’s Sky is out next week.
