Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky went gold not too long ago, which means that all principle development has concluded and the game is currently undergoing manufacturing and distribution in preparation for its August release.
Despite the work that’s gone into the title and the sheer size and breadth that it offers, Hello Games co-founder and creator Sean Murray noted on Twitter that, “For those asking – size of No Man’s Sky on disc is just 6GB. A lot of that is audio.”
Murray also noted that the team was already busy working on Update 1 for the game. It’s unknown whether this is the day one update or a post-launch update that will arrive after the game goes live.
No Man’s Sky is out on August 9th for PS4 and PC. It was originally slated to release in late June but was delayed to allow for more polish. What are your thoughts on the game thus far? Let us know in the comments below.
