Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky may have been on many lists of disappointments in 2016 but the developer has been working overtime to add numerous significant updates. Atlas Rises last year brought new story missions, joint exploration, economy changes and much more. However, the developer’s next big update, literally titled “NEXT” will be even bigger according to creator Sean Murray.
In a recent tweet, Murray said that No Man’s Sky NEXT would be coming in Summer 2018 as a free update for PlayStation 4 and PC. Surprisingly, he also confirmed the Xbox One version – 505 Games later confirmed in a separate tweet that it was publishing the retail version. It seems that Xbox One X support like 4K, “Xbox One X Enhanced” features and HDR are also coming with it.
Considering the amount of content added to the game thus far, it should be interesting to see what Hello Games has to offer next. Further refinements are a given but what major new additions are on the horizon? Time will certainly tell. In the meantime, if you haven’t tried out No Man’s Sky, you can head here to learn more about the Atlas Rises update and what new features it brought.
