No Man's Sky - Omega

A new update is available for Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky – Version 4.5, Omega. It offers a free trial from today to February 19th, allowing everyone to play even if they don’t own the base game. Check out the launch trailer below.

Omega is the 12th Expedition for the title, with cosmetics themed around the Atlas, from a new jetpack and Sceptre Multi-Tool to a Headshield helm and Starborn Runner ship. It also brings several changes and improvements to the Expedition structure, from being able to start from an existing save to loading items from a terminal before starting (which can be retrieved after reaching the Anomaly).

Once an Expedition ends, you can send tech and items to your primary save while automatically sharing all discoveries, nanites, units and quicksilver. Another noteworthy gameplay change is causing Pirate dreadnoughts to surrender after destroying their defenses. You can then slay the captain to collect a bounty, demand tribute or take their vessel.

No Man’s Sky is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Aside from providing regular updates, Hello Games is also working on a new title, Light No Fire. Head here for more details.
