Developer Moon Studios has released a new trailer for its hack-and-slash RPG No Rest for the Wicked, and has confirmed that the title will exit Early Access on PC and also come to PS5 in October. There is currently no word on whether the title will also be making its way to other platforms like Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch 2. In the meantime, check out the new trailer below.
While largely focusing on the story and the fact that the 1.0 release of No Rest for the Wicked will also bring with it the RPG’s final chapter, the trailer also showcases some gameplay as captured on PS5. Along with this, the trailer also does an excellent job of showcasing the unique art style of the title, which blends in horrific scenarios with an emphasis on distorted proportions on creatures and humans alike.
This announcement of a PS5 release of No Rest for the Wicked ties into what studio CEO and creative director Thomas Mahler had said back in July 2025 about potential console launches for the RPG. When asked about the subject, Mahler expressed the belief that, for Moon Studios, the PS5 makes the most sense as a target platform, along with potentially the Nintendo Switch 2.
“Given current market conditions, we might only release on PS5 and potentially Switch 2 for the time being – we’ll have to discuss things with MS to see what makes sense for Xbox,” Mahler wrote at the time.
When asked for more details on social media, Mahler said at the time that it wasn’t really an official announcement. Rather, he was simply discussing which consoles would make sense for potential console ports of No Rest for the Wicked.
“There’s nothing to officially confirm yet,” he posted. “We want to support consoles and, just looking at the numbers, PS5 makes the most sense at the moment. Ultimately, we’ll ship on all platforms, but likely not at the same time!”
“We believe this will give you even more confidence in our vision, because we’re free to build No Rest for the Wicked exactly how we want, without needing to ever go silent again.”
If you’re not interested in waiting until October, No Rest for the Wicked is currently available as an Early Access title on PC.
