So, players around the world have wanted a new Onimusha. So Capcom happily obliged with a browser based free to play title. Players were furious, and demanded something serious. Like an Onimusha game for the PlayStation 3. So Capcom happily obliged again, by porting the free to play browser title to PlayStation Network.

Yes, they are actually doing that. Between moves like this, or the announcement of Breath of Fire for smartphones, or their general mishandling of their IP, it is like the company exists to troll and piss off its fans as much as possible at this point.

In any case, Onimusha Soul will be releasing for the PlayStation 3 over PlayStation Network in Japan some time in spring. A release date hasn’t been announced for the rest of the world, so looks like Capcom has some special contempt for is Japanese audience.
