Codemasters’ Onrush turned quite a few heads with its Stampede trailer which showcased the game’s fast pace and insane action. The developer has now released a breakdown video of sorts which takes a closer look at the “Stampede” system. Game director Paul Rustchynsky (who also worked on Evolution Studios’ Driveclub) provides more information.

The gameplay is still pretty much the same “Sanctuary Shore” track seen last month but we get a closer look at the different routes available, how the player can stampede and overturn several other cars to gain boost and more. We also get to see the perspective of AI controlled vehicles for an even crazier outlook on the entire race. Expect more gameplay footage over the coming months as we get closer to release.

Published by Deep Silver, Onrush is currently scheduled to launch on June 5th for PS4 and Xbox One. Along with Rustchynsky, several other former Evolution Studios employees are working on the game at Codemasters.
