Origin Locks You Out for Constantly Changing PC Hardware

Don't change your PC configuration five times in a day, at least with Origin.

Here’s a rather interesting quirk: EA’s digital distribution platform Origin can lock PC users out if they change their hardware too often. This was discovered by Guru 3D when one writer tried benchmarking Battlefield: Hardline and was locked out of the game after changing graphics cards too often. Origin for its part provided a notification that too many computers were accessing the account.

So what gives? As it turns out, “Origin authentication allows players to install a game on up to five different PCs every 24 hours. Players looking to benchmark more than five hardware configurations in one 24 hour period can contact our Customer Support team who can help.”

If you’re normally installing and uninstalling the game across different systems over a long period of time, you won’t have any issues. However, if you attempt to change configurations five times in a single day, then you’ll face problems. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know below.
