Outlast Now Available on Steam: Launch Trailer Emerges

SEVEN DAYS.

Posted By | On 04th, Sep. 2013

Good (?) news everyone! Red Barrels’ Outlast is now available on PC via Steam. The bad news? It’s downright terrifying. Check out the insidious launch trailer above for instance.

Outlast tells the tale of Miles Upshur who explores the Mount Massive Asylum after hearing of secret experiments being conducted despite the facility’s so-called closure. Of course, once he gets inside, he’ll encounter sinister in-mates and mutants alive (which could be one and the same) and work to uncover the mystery behind the asylum.

Did we mention lots of scares? Like, seriously, shit be whack, homey. Upshur will be roaming the halls with his camera, whose night vision helps him keep track of things that go bump in the night. Of course, there’s plenty of free running involved as well as the mutants come fast and furious. What other surprises does the asylum hold? Stay tuned for our official review of Outlast in the coming days to find out. Outlast will also be heading to the PS4 in early 2014.
