The Overwatch 2 development team took the world by storm by announcing that its hero shooter would go free-to-play and enter early access in October. While it’s prepping for more details, the date for the next beta has been decided. It starts on June 28th for PC and consoles.
Along with a new hero in the Junker Queen, there will also be a new map in the beta. Sign-ups and additional details will be coming on June 16th. Furthermore, the animated short “Wastelander” premieres at the same event. It will likely showcase the epic conclusion to the Junker Queen’s battle teased during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
Overwatch 2 enters early access on October 4th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Along with full crossplay support, it also includes cross-platform progression. For those who own the base game, they’ll receive a free Founder’s Pack for Overwatch 2. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
