Overwatch 2’s 12th season, New Frontiers, kicks off on August 20th and adds a new Support hero, Juno. Blizzard Entertainment has released a new trailer outlining everything players can expect with the season, including new skins and events. Check it out below.
The newest Mythic Skin is for Reaper, with one variant resembling Anubis. A new mode, Clash, is also officially going live next week and includes two maps – Hanaoka, based on Hanamura, and Throne of Anubis, which takes cues from Overwatch’s Temple of Anubis. The premium Battle Pass offers up to 80 Mythic Prisms, Legendary skins for Doomfist, Ana, Illari, Ashe, and Sigma, and other rewards.
Competitive play is getting some changes with a rank reset, improved Avoid as Teammate feature, and Group Respawn in Quick Play. Events like MirrorWatch, April Fools, and more will also return. Last but not least, a collaboration with Warcraft, specifically the Lich King, is teased.
Overwatch 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
