Overwatch Competitive Play Season 5 is Now Live

A new season of suffering begins.

Posted By | On 01st, Jun. 2017

Do you like working with total strangers for some shiny icons under your name? Do you like queuing with your friends only to go up against six-stack juggernauts that murder you in their sleep? If so, then rejoice for Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch has entered the fifth season of Competitive Play.

Having begun on May 31st, Season 5 will continue the tradition of players competing in round-based matches, accruing Competitive Points to purchase Golden Guns (which cost 3000 CP each) and increasing their Skill Rating in the process. After all, depending on your end of season rank, you can score anywhere from 100 CP at Bronze tier onwards to 3000 CP at Grandmaster tier.

All that’s required is to complete your placement matches for a rank. Regardless of your rank, you’ll receive a special spray and icon at the end of the season with Top 500 players for each region receiving an additional icon and spray.
