Overwatch players aren’t strangers to bugs and glitches by any means. I myself have reported on numerous instances of players encountering bugs while playing Blizzard’s hero shooter, but the glitch we’re reporting on today actually seems to be one a lot of people are coming across. It’s been posted and described in a Reddit post by user Syberbolt, and you can read about it through here, but what it essentially says is this.

The player tried playing a competitive game on Numbani, but while the teams were getting ready for the match to start, one of the players typed a question in the chat, asking if they would lose SR if they left a match before it began. When several people informed the player that that would indeed be the case, they typed in “Sorry”, which immediately resulted in the server being crashed. The player that reported this issue stated that he was booted out of the game and handed a temporary suspension, a 50-60 SR loss, as well as the “rejoin match” option not being available anymore.

Judging by the number of upvotes and comments, as well as the number of players that have reported this exact same issue, it seems a lot of people have come across this glitch/exploit. Blizzard have not yet made any response, but we’re expecting they’ll get to fixing this soon enough. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued updates.
