Rockstar Games has released the latest patch for their newest hit game, Grand Theft Auto Five. The patch contains some big updates, and comes in at a total of 39 megabytes on the PlayStation 3, and 59 megabytes on the Xbox 360.

While the official patch notes are not yet available to the public, gamers have noted that the patch has closed off several aspects of the glitchy GTA Online, which gamers have been exploiting hole in to farm XP and money.

Another reported issue with GTA online was that of missing saved character data. Based on current reports, there is no indication that this problem has been fixed. The only statement regarding character losses from Rockstar at this point is as follows:

“We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value.”

Rockstar has also advised players who have lost online characters to refrain from creating a new player in the empty slot that used to house the deleted one.
