Path of Exile Confirmed For Xbox One

Now that's a major coup right there.

It looks like the popular free to play dungeon crawling hack and slash RPG Path of Exile will be coming over to the Xbox One. Grinding Gear Games confirmed the port yesterday on their Twitter account, and also released a brand new trailer announcing the console debut of the game, which you can see for yourself below.

No release date for the Xbox One version was shared, though it seems like the title is due to release some time later this year. Given just how popular Diablo 3 ended up being on consoles, this is still a major coup by Microsoft and their ID@Xbox team.

Whether or not the Xbox One version of the game has any specific features (beyond, I imagine, controller support) remains to be seen. Path of Exile originally launched on PC all the way back in 2013, to general critical acclaim. Stay tuned for more coverage on the Xbox One port.
