PayDay 2 New Gameplay Screens Unveiled

Get to da chopper!

Overkill Software’s PayDay 2 just received some new screenshots showcasing gameplay. The heist-based game will be heading to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 15th.

PayDay 2, much like the original, involves playing as a group of robbers who infiltrate various banks and other locations and stage elaborate heists. Of course, being a sequel, it carries its fair share of improvements to the shoot mechanics and cash is now simply used for buying new weapons and items rather than as experience points.

PayDay 2 will also feature some revamped stealth mechanics, in case you don’t feel like blasting your way through the game’s 30 heists. Loot is also very real this time, and must be carried out of a bank or thrown to another player to carry.

The game will now have a retail release, unlike the original which was only available for digital download. So players who never had the connectivity to experience the original can now get in on the magic.
