Developer Starbreeze Studios and publisher Deep Silver have announced that upcoming co-op shooter Payday 3 will be getting a closed beta test. The beta will be available to players on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and will start on August 2, going on until August 7. Players interested can sign up for the closed beta through the official website, the game’s Steam store page, or the Xbox Insider Hub app.
The beta will feature the original gang of clown-masked characters that act as the Payday franchise’s mascots—Dallas, Hoxton, Chains and Wolf. Players will be able to take part in a classic heist, titled No Rest For The Wicked, which revolves around robbing a small bank. All difficulties will be playable during the closed beta, but players will be capped to an Infamy level of 22, and weapon progression level of 8.
If you’re planning on giving the Payday 3 closed beta test a shot, it might be worth keeping in mind the game’s PC requirements, which were revealed earlier this month. It is also worth noting that Payday 3 will require a constant Internet connection, even if you want to play the game solo.
Payday 3 is set for launch on September 21 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
