Persona 3 Reload is set to launch in just a couple of days’ time, and with a Metacritic score of 89, it certainly looks like Atlus has delivered yet another excellent Persona title. Longtime fans of Persona 3 in particular will, however, still be disappointed that in spite of modernizing the original in a number of ways, it still doesn’t necessarily serve as the definitive Persona 3 experience, what with the exclusive content that was added in Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable not being included in the remake.

As it turns out, according to a prominent Atlus leaker, at least some of that content will be making its way over to the remake in the relatively near future. Over on Twitter, @MbKKssTBhz5 – who has accurately leaked several Atlus announcements in the past, including Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio – Persona 3 FES’ exclusive story episode, titled The Answer, will be added to Persona 3 Reload as post-launch DLC.

According to the leaker, Atlus has multiple DLC releases planned for the remake, and is planning on releasing it within the 2024/25 fiscal year (i.e. before April 2025). However, though the multiple DLC releases will also include new music and cosmetic, Persona 3 Portable’s most significant piece of exclusive content – a route that lets players play as a female protagonist and adds new story elements – is allegedly not going to be remade for Reload.

Traditionally, when adding significant new content to Persona games, Atlus has chosen to opt for entirely new and separate expanded re-releases rather than simply releasing expansions, from Persona 3 FES to Persona 4 Golden to Persona 5 Royal, so if the company is indeed deciding to change its approach with Reload, that should come as a pleasant surprise to everyone.

@MbKKssTBhz5 has also previously claimed that though Persona 3 Reload isn’t coming to the Nintendo Switch, Atlus intends to bring it to the rumoured Switch 2. Could that release be paired with the game receiving The Answer as an expansion? We’re going to have to wait and see.

Persona 3 Reload launches on February 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
