When Valve was in the early stages of going through the Steam library and optimize it for the Steam Deck, Persona 4 Golden was among the biggest names to be included in the list of unsupported games. Not long afterward, the game moved over into the “Playable” category, indicating that though it could run on the handheld device, it hadn’t been perfectly optimized for it. Now, it’s made the next (and final) step forward.
Persona 4 Golden has been handed the “Steam Deck Verified” tag by Valve, which means that the game is now perfectly optimzied for the device and should be able to run on it without any issues. Given the inherent appeal and success of the game, it should go without saying that it being added to the Steam Deck’s list of verified games will be welcome news for those who own the device (or plan on owning it in the near future).
In total, there are now well over 1,100 games that are Steam Deck Verified, and over a thousand each in the “Playable” and “Unsupported” categories. Of course, the Steam library is staggeringly massive, so expect all those numbers to keep on fluctuating in the months to come.
