Persona 5 is one of the most highly anticipated games in the entire industry, and funnily enough, it has held that tag for a long, long time. It was originally announced back in 2013 and was set to launch the next year. It was then delayed to the year after that, then the year after that, and then once again to 2017, until now finally we are less than a couple of months away from the finally being able to play the game ourselves.

And having waited so long, our expectations are obviously sky high. That may be a bad thing for the game ultimately, and it may not, but there’s no denying that there’s certain things we expect the game to deliver on, and certain areas where we hope it has improved upon its brilliant predecessors. In order to gear up for the imminent release of Persona 5, we are going to take a look at what we feel are going to be fifteen of its most important features, fifteen things that we feel you should know about before you finally play the games. So without further ado, let’s begin!

THE PROTAGONIST IS ON PROBATION

Right off the bat it feels like Persona 5 is going for a much more adult theme than its predecessor Persona 4. In fact, where the main protagonist in each game has been more of an avatar for players to experience the story as themselves rather than anybody, it seems like the protagonist in Persona 5 will have his very own backstory for the game to delve into. The game is set in Tokyo, where the main character has just moved to attend school and is currently on probation for assault of a stalker. This is definitely very interesting. Will this criminal background come into play later on in the story? Chances are it will, and it’s gonna make for some interesting stuff story-wise.
