If you’ve been wondering why Persona 5 has been taking so long to reach the West, then rest assured there are good reasons. DualShockers recently learned that the final English script for the upcoming JRPG is 1.5 times larger than Persona 4 Golden. That’s pretty hefty, especially considering how big Persona 4 Golden was (it’s 10 hours longer than the base Persona 4).
Persona 5 features many of the same tropes as previous games – a group of young vigilantes called the Phantom Thieves of Hearts battle against the forces of evil by unleashing Personas. Then there are areas like the Velvet Room for fusing Personas (thus making them stronger) and the Palace, a mysterious area corrupted by the adult world.
Persona 5 was originally set to release in February 2017 for PS3 and PS4 but it was delayed till April. This is due to the implementation of dual-audio support for Japanese and English voice-overs, which is usually a plus. What are your thoughts on the size of the script? Let us know in the comments.
