Persona 5

While over in Japan they’re all about Persona 5 Scramble, the latest spin-off based on the popular RPG series, we overseas are still patiently waiting for Persona 5 Royal, the enhanced re-release of the fifth Persona title. It will come out at the end of next month, and today we got a very long look at the game’s English localization.

Gemastu attended an event in Los Angeles hosted by Atlus where they got to see over an hour of footage from the English build of the game. It shows off several familiar events and gameplay from the original release. There’s also a few new things shown here like the Grappling Hook mechanic as well as the customizable Theives’ Den. You can check it out below, but be wary, it goes without saying this amount of footage comes with some mild spoilers.

Persona 5 Royal already released in Japan where it apparently sold underneath Sega’s expectations, so hopefully it’ll fare better when it releases worldwide on March 31st exclusively on PlayStation 4.
