Persona 5 Royal will release later this year in Japan (though players everywhere else will have to wait until 2020), and one of the biggest new features of the enhanced re-release is the newest character, Kasumi. She wasn’t present at all in the original title, being a completely original creation for Royal, and we’ve gotten briefs snippets of her with the game’s reveal. Now we’re getting to know her a little with some footage of some early meetings between her and Joker, the main protagonist.

You can check out the video below to see her interaction with Joker. She is a first-year student and manages to quickly and masterfully grab a balloon a little girl almost loses. This takes place before she will join the party, but after your first meeting, as she gets better acquainted with Joker and Morgana marvels at her athleticism (thanks to DualShockers for translations).

Persona 5 Royal releases October 31st in Japan, with a worldwide release next year for PlayStation 4. The game will add a third semester, which was a time period that was skipped over in the original release. You can see more from the third semester here.
