Persona 5

We in the west finally have a good idea of when Persona 5 Royal, the enhanced re-release of the best selling entry in the Persona series, will release. It’s a bit off, but it doesn’t mean we can’t mine the Japanese marketing for hype. Today we get some new screenshots that show off a new DLC costume, as well as the improved Baton Touch.

Released via the game’s official Twitter account, we see a new costume. We know that Royal will feature all new DLC costumes, but the game’s newest playable character, Kasumi, will actually get costumes based on DLC from the previous game’s post-launch content. Her maid outfit is one such example that you can see below.

We also get some screens of the new Baton Touch, where your party can continue to strike at a weak point until the final attack. If you managed to get all characters in one chain, you get the last attack without having to spend any magic points.

Persona 5 Royal releases exclusively on PlayStation 4 in the west in Spring 2020.
