Atlus is marketing Persona 5 Royal now with bits and pieces of the expanded re-release that’s due out in Japan later this year. We’ve seen a few short videos showing off new locations and a little bit of an extended introduction to the new playable character, Kasumi. Now we have a new character in the game’s already full array of a supporting cast- Takuto Maruki.

You can see the character’s introduction below. This character is original to Royal, and is a young counsellor that has been assigned to the school the characters attend, Shujin Academy. Because of his youthful look, he becomes instantly popular with the students (especially the girls) and will serve as a new interactive confidant. Like most confidants in the game, his story will probably also evolve in interesting and unexpected ways as you dig deeper into his past.

Persona 5 Royal will release in Japan on October 31st, with a worldwide release later in 2020 on the PlayStation 4.
