From a niche brand with very small but vocal fan followings to one of the most eagerly anticipated exclusives of this year- the rise of Persona has truly been something to behold. We’ve all been waiting eagerly to get our hands on Persona 5, the next installment in the series, and the first original one since 2008, but Atlus’ routine silences on the game has often led to fears that the game will be delayed- again.

Well, the good thing is, the newest financial report by Sega seems to have all but confirmed that the game is due to launch in the three month window from October to December this year, in both, North America and Japan. Which means, rest assured, guys, we’re getting that game, and we are getting it soon.

That’s not all, either- Sega also confirmed that worldwide sales of the Persona franchise now stand at 6 million copies sold, which is a pretty damn big amount for a series considered so niche. Doubtless, Persona 5, which is the most hyped game of the franchise so far, and one of the bigger high profile releases this year, will add substantially to that number as well.

Persona 5 launches exclusively on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information.
