Persona 5’s Original DLC Will Be Free To Persona 5 Royal Owners In The West

Those in the west get a break on all that DLC.

Persona 5

Persona 5 has helped the long running franchise hit some new heights. The vanilla version of the game sold incredibly well, meaning that the series is probably as close to the big time as it’s ever been. The enhanced version of that game, Persona 5 Royal, is out now in Japan and will come soon in the West. And with it comes with lots of DLC, and those in the West can get some of it free.

Persona 5 Royal, despite being an enhanced re-release of an older title, will not have the DLC that came out with the original title, nor will the DLC you purchased for it carry over to Royal as we reported earlier. Considering that Royal has its own set of new DLC that is not compatible with the original version, that’s a lot. But those in the West will catch a break, as the official PlayStation blog announced that all the original Persona 5 DLC will be free to download for those purchasing Persona 5 Royal.

Persona 5 Royal will release March 31st 2020 exclusively for PlayStation 4, and you can watch the release date trailer through here.
