Persona 4 Golden

Persona is one of the biggest and most beloved RPG franchises at this point, and it’s looking like series fans are going to have plenty to look forward to in the coming years. Rumours have been claiming that Persona 4 Golden is headed to the PS4 and Nintendo Switch this year, and that Persona 3 Portable remaster is also in the works for multiple platforms. Now, another new rumour, originating from known leaker NateTheHate, corroborates some of that, while also potentially revealing new details about the series’ future.

According to him, Persona 4 Golden is indeed launching for PS4 and Switch this year, which falls in line with multiple recent reports that have claimed the same. Interestingly, NateTheHate also talks about Persona 6 (which we know for a fact is currently in the works)- according to him, the next mainline game in the series is gong to be exclusive to the PS5.

Persona has historically launched exclusively for PlayStation with its mainline instalments, so this wouldn’t be breaking the mould- though with Atlus’ recent porting and remastering practices, many had hoped that Persona 6 would release for multiple platforms right off the bat.

This is, of course, an unconfirmed rumour at this point, so you should definitely treat it as such- though it should be interesting to see what new details emerge on the game as we approach its launch (which is likely several years away at this point).
