Earlier this year, the impossible happened as it was announced that the legendary, long running MMO, Phantasy Star Online 2, will finally come westward. You’ll be able to jump into the game at some point next year, and today you can sign up for the closed beta and get into it earlier.

You can sign up for the closed beta through the Xbox Insider Program. You’ll have to download and install the Xbox Insider Hub. You can read about how to do that through here.

Phantasy Star Online 2 released all the way back in 2012. You are part of the ARKS task force, and the gameplay loop includes you teaming up with three other players or to explore zones that allow for other twelve players. Over the course of the years, the game has received multiple expansions and updates. In Japan, the game is available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile. In the west, the game is currently only announced to come to Xbox One in 2020.
