Phantasy Star Online 2 Opening Movie and Trailer Released

Dive back into Sega's MMO universe once more.

Posted By | On 26th, Dec. 2012

Sega has shared two new videos for their upcoming MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2, which includes the opening movie of the game in all its pre-rendered glory and a trailer which showcases the action-based gameplay, worlds and enemies you’ll encounter.

As an entry to Sega’s premier RPG line and direct sequel to the very successful Phantasy Star Online, you’ll be able to head online and converse with players before heading on quests together, slaying monsters and gaining experience. That’s really all there is to it, but then isn’t that the case with all MMOs these days (*cough*lies*cough*).

Phantasy Star Online 2 will be releasing on PS Vita on February 28th 2013 and is already available for PC. Like the PC version it will be free to play, which means no monthly subscription. Best of all, thanks to cross play support, PC and Vita gamers can quest together without any issues. It’s still scheduled for iOS and Android, though no word has emerged on either version yet.
