Well, today was the day. After a long and strange year, this week saw the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, the next generation consoles from Microsoft. The Series X was actually unveiled at the end of 2019 with the Series S being unveiled earlier this year. Unfortunately, I imagine if you didn’t manage to get one today or via preorder, it’ll be awhile before you can. The world is sort of on fire still and didn’t stop for Xbox systems after all, but they are now in mass production at the very least. They celebrated that launch with a series of rather odd videos late last night, and now the face of Xbox himself wants to wish you good vibes.

Phil Spencer posted a video on his official Twitter to give a thank you to everyone who is in the Xbox community, to thank you for your support, and to hope you have a good time gaming regardless of the device you’re on. He also acknowledged that even with this launch, there’s a bittersweet feeling in the air since, well, as I said above, the world is still kind of on fire.

The Xbox Series X and Series S are available now. The launch also coincides with the release of EA Play to Xbox Game Pass, so no matter what part of the Xbox ecosystem you’re in, there’s plenty to play.
