Evil wins. Which side will you fall on?

Tyranny

Obsidian Entertainment’s Tyranny received its first gameplay footage during the PC Gaming Show last night (which was easy to miss with all the other blockbuster announcements). The computer RPG from the minds behind Pillars of Eternity introduces an intriguing premise – it’s set in a world where evil has won and as a lieutenant in the giant evil machine, you can choose to subjugate the populace in any way you wish.

That means either continuing to enforce an evil regime or simply giving the people a better life. Maybe you could rise up against your masters? Obsidian didn’t explain the possibilities of Tyranny’s storyline but the isometric combat should make Pillars of Eternity (and CRPG) fans feel right at home.

Tyranny is out later this year for PC, Linux and Mac. What are your thoughts on the gameplay showcased? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information from E3.
