PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has certainly been a huge phenomenon over the past year. However, a significant portion of the playerbase have been dissatisfied with the game and have expressed their frustration over on Steam. PUBG Corp’s CEO Chang Han Kim spoke to Korean website Inven Global  and stated that although they faced some issues since the game’s official launch on Steam, they are working fast to fix these issues and players’ reaction is becoming positive again.

Chang Han Kim also stated that the number of daily active users and revenue has increased since the game’s official launch on Steam. He stated, “Both DAU and revenue increased. Although we had server performance and rubberbanding issues in the beginning, we are almost done fixing them. Their reaction is becoming positive again. The last thing we need to resolve is the likes and dislikes of the new desert map, and we are constantly tuning it based on the players’ feedback. There is a difference of opinions with the old players who have played on the test server and new players of the official launch, so we need to be extra careful about it.” Additionally, Chang Han Kim also addressed why they decided to remove the rainy/foggy weather condition and stated that it was because it was not well received by players. it is likely that the this feature will make a return after it has been tweaked and adjusted after the team has found a “more appropriate time and better way to implement it.”

The team is also considering adding a snow map in the future. There’s certainly a lot to look forward to in the coming year for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
