The success story of Brendan Greene and Bluehole with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues. Along with selling millions of copies despite being in Early Access, the battle royale/survival multiplayer shooter has seen players accrue a combined play time of 25,815 years.
Among the other statistics provided to IGN AU include a grand total of 965.83 million deaths.
Assault rifles account for 56.97 percent of gun deaths while 0.51 percent of deaths comes from other weapons like crossbows. The total number of deaths from guns totals 703 million while vehicle deaths sit at 147 million and grenades at 94.1 million.
The developer also revealed that one in 6000 players obtain the “chicken dinner” victory which is a fairly small number given the total player base. Along with becoming the most played non-Valve title on Steam, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been expanding on its feature set with first person-only servers across all modes and maps. New maps will also be arriving for the game in the coming months though there’s no set release date yet.
