Achieves this goal in three months since launch.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues its popular sales run, hitting 4 million copies sold in just three months since its launch. On Twitter, creator Brendan Greene aka PlayerUnknown thanked fans for their continued support. About two weeks ago, it was announced that the game hit 3 million units in sales.

Having released near the end of March, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become quite the amazing story. Though touted as a survival first person shooter game akin to Battle Royale, the game has seen an excellent response from the community. In terms of popularity, it’s only behind Valve’s Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Developer Bluehole has also been releasing a number of patches and monthly updates to add on to the game. Future updates that have been promised include a new zombies mode where non-infected players must survive against infected players.
