There were some hits and misses during Sony’s E3 press conference. But when it came right down to what the consumer – in this case, the gamer – would find important, the PlayStation 4 delivered as best as it could. Sony have announced that the PS4 will retail for $399 this Holiday season
Considering that there will be no online connectivity issues or DRM or used game fees, the sheer price gap of $100, and the PS4 is the more powerful console as well, between Sony’s console and the Xbox One could be a deciding factor in the days to come. Will Microsoft’s long list of exclusives and blockbuster titles be enough?
Or will it be Sony’s consumer friendly approach, killer apps like Final Fantasy XV and Kindgom Hearts 3, plus the sheer price difference? Of course, an attitude like this doesn’t hurt either:
PS4 out $399 in the US, out this Holiday.“At PlayStation, true consumer ownership and consumer trust are central to what we do.”
