PlayStation 4’s European Ad Is Corny But Effective

I like some cheese with my corn.

The holiday season is here, which means everybody is going to be ramping up advertising for their products. In the past few years, Sony has generally gotten very good at advertising their products (well, at least the PS4), which is one major reason for why their console has been selling as much as it has, but… well, this new ad isn’t their best effort, that’s for sure.

It’s corny, a bit disjointed, and loses the viewer’s attention. That said, it has a surprisingly resonant message, so in spite of all that, it does come off as effective. You can check it out for yourself below. The video showcases many of the unique games and experiences on the PS4, from titles such as Street Fighter and No Man’s Sky, to unique features and accessories such as Share Play and PlayStation VR.

Personally, I am just mad that they keep forgetting to mention Persona 5- that’s going to be you guys’ biggest exclusive, do you know that?

Hopefully the ad we get for this holiday in North America is better than this, at least.
