Sony have restored the PSN across the globe, with online services resuming as normal.
“The UK, Ireland and the Middle East are all now back online,” Sony said on the PlayStation Blog EU Twitter account. “PSN services have also been restored in the rest of Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico and South America.”
Sony boss Kaz Hirai said that “I wish we could have restored the network services faster, but these attacks were serious and sophisticated, and it simply took time to install and test the new security measures across our entire system.”
Better late than never.
