Sony PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset

Sony has announced two new heavyweights to champion its budding lineup of great audio options for the PS5. The Pulse Elite was great, but Sony isn’t content with mere greatness as the new PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge wireless headsets bring a bevvy of features and very stylish options.

Available in both the classic White and Midnight Black options, both offerings are compatible with any device supporting PlayStation Link, in addition to your PS5, and support two devices simultaneously for seamless switching. AI-powered noise rejection is on board, along with excellent noise cancellation and support for the PS5’s spatial audio capabilities, which means that the headsets are going to be making good use of their planar magnetic drivers and all the other features on that long list to give you the best possible audio no matter what you’re playing.

The Pulse Edge looks especially versatile with its detachable boom mic and a hidden one for those who prefer a more stylish look over mic functionality. That’s handy, in addition to its premium materials, improved drivers, and an included carrying case.

The Pulse is going to sell for $99.99 / £89.99 GBP / €99.99, with preorders starting at 10 AM local time on October 29 through PlayStation Direct and select retailers. It launches on November 19, while the Pulse Edge is scheduled for release in 2027. We’ve left some pictures of the new headsets below to help you decide if they’re going to fit into your aesthetic.
