PlayStation head of production, Connie Booth, has reportedly left the company after having worked there for 34 years, according to David Jaffe, who took to YouTube to make the claim citing unnamed sources.

Jaffe goes on to state that Booth’s role will be taken up by Angie Smets, who has been with the PlayStation-owned Guerrilla for 20 years. Jaffe is unable to confirm whether Booth’s exit from the company was due to lay offs, or if she was let go.

“Here’s what I can tell you, she is no longer at Sony, right? I don’t have a lot of details, I don’t know if she was fired or laid off, when I heard the story everyone was telling me she was fired,” Jaffe said. “The Connie thing is pretty much true because I’ve heard it from four people, two in and two out of Sony.”

Sony hasn’t yet made any official announcement about Booth’s departure from the company. Booth has been with the company since 1989, and began working as an executive producer in 1995.

Booth’s reported replacement, Smets, has been working as vice president and head of development strategy at PlayStation Studios. Smets previously worked as a studio director and executive producer with Guerrilla, having been with the studio since its days of developing Killzone.
