Pokemon Black and White ‘major differences’ Revealed

Posted By | On 12th, Jul. 2010

Major differences between the upcoming and the highly anticipated Pokemon Black and White have been revealed in a Japanese magazine.

CoroCoro Magazine reports that Black and White will have different areas/dungeons/cities- one version will have the White Forest and the other will have the Black City. Presumably, the White Forest will be in Pokemon White and the Black City will be in Pokemon Black.

While this may not sound very exciting, CoroCoro magazine also revealed that DSi owners will be able to video chat with upto four players using a new TV Transciever feature. While you can talk to four people locally at a time, you can chat with only two online.

Pokemon Black and White sure look promising

The all-new passing By feature, which is something the Pokemon series has never seen, will allow players to automatically connect to other players who are around you and help them carry on with their quest, while the High Link feature will enable players to take on missions to help other players who’re in trouble.

An all new 3-3 battle mode has also been revealed. This battle mode will make you focus on the placement and the set-up of your active Pokemon, as the way in which a Pokemon is hit will have heavy influence on the goings-on of the battle. This will add an extra layer of depth and an all new level of strategy to the already perfected formula.

Pokemon Black and White are releasing this September in Japan. Their European and North American release dates remain unrevealed. Keep watching this space for more info on the upcoming Pokemon canon titles.
