Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, Let's Go Eevee

Today is the day that Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! launch. Though the games have made a bevy of changes that have proven to be divisive, they are also games that are counting on nostalgia and fondness for the brand, specifically its roots. And that’s the angle that Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are specifically pushing in this brand new trailer for the game.

You can see this trailer below—it’s basically set to the original Pokemon theme song from the anime dub, which has become an iconic mainstay of pop culture. The best part is that the trailer recreates the video from the original theme song, scene by scene, with in game footage. If you grew up with Pokemon, like I did, it’s going to hit you right in the feels, and tickle your nostalgia bone immensely.

Nintendo have also shared a brand new overview trailer for the game, which you can see for yourself below as well. Pokemon Let’s Go is out today, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. Make sure to keep an eye out for our review.
