Pokemon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire Announced for November 2014

"Fresh new takes" on the classic GBA adventures coming to 3DS.

Nintendo has announced that it will be bringing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire to the 3DS in November 2014. The games will be remakes – or if Nintendo is to be believed, “fresh takes” – of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire for the Game Boy Advance. The remakes will apparently take place in a new world and tell a dramatic story to players.

You can expect the usual menagerie of rare Pokemon to be caught, trained and employed for battle purposes. Will Game Freak add newer Pokemon from the recent Pokemon X/Y? That remains to be seen. Mega Evolutions, perhaps? It wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world.

Nintendo recently revealed its fiscal year financial results and Pokemon X/Y was confirmed to have sold 12.26 million copies worldwide. Obviously there’s a demand for more Pokemon titles on the 3DS after the success of X/Y. Stay tuned on how much new content Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will add.
