Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced a new spin-off title in the ever-expanding Pokémon franchise – Pokémon Pokopia. Slated for release in 2026 on the Nintendo Switch 2, the game was announced with a trailer during the recent Direct. Check it out below.

Pokémon Pokopia as a curious premise; players take on the role of a Ditto that has transformed itself to look vaguely like a young human. As they explore the world, they can collect various resources like wood and rocks in order to craft equipment that can then be used to create a home. Along the way, players will also encounter other Pokémon, from which they can learn new abilities.

These abilities allow players to change the world as they see fit, from learning how to create new patches of grass from Bulbasaur to being able to start fires after meeting Charmander. Through this, players will be able to befriend various Pokémon as they end up creating the ultimate paradise for themselves and their friends.
