Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Might Receive New Details Next Week

Variety show PokéDoko claims it will have the "latest information on Pokemon games" soon, suggesting an update could be around the corner.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

It’s been a few weeks since The Pokemon Company officially announced the ninth generation of mainline Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Due out later this year, it goes without saying that more details on the duo will arrive in the coming months, though there’s been no concrete word on when exactly that’ll be. It seems, however, that we’ll be getting some sort of update soon.

As spotted by Pokemonmasters.net on Twitter, Japanese Pokemon variety show PokeDoko 4 will seemingly have an update on the series soon. A recently published summary for the show’s upcoming episode (which airs on April 24) states that it will share “the latest information on the Pokemon games.”

Of course, that’s a little vague in some respects. There’s no specific mention of which Pokemon games will receive the update, and as PM Net points out, “latest” doesn’t necessarily mean “new”, and The Pokemon Company hasn’t made new announcements via variety shows in a while. It’s possible, however, that new details in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are shared in the coming days before the episode airs, and then highlighted again on the show.

Either way, we’ll know for sure soon enough, so stay tuned for any and all updates.
